Who we are
Venue IQ is a trading name of Xcelsus Ltd (company number 17380082), a private limited company registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We sell VenueIQ POS, related software, and support into Thailand and other markets, with onsite support in Chonburi and Bangkok. For this website and related sales, we are the data controller.
When a venue uses VenueIQ POS, that venue is typically the data controller for its own customers, members, and staff. We process that data only to provide the product they have licensed.
Laws that apply
Because we are a UK company, we handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Because we offer goods and services to people and venues in Thailand, Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) also applies to personal data of people in Thailand.
Where both regimes apply, we follow the stricter rule for that person. This notice is written to cover both.
What we collect
We collect the information you choose to send us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the site:
- Enquiries and quotes — name, email, phone, venue name, and the details you include in the form.
- Shop orders — name, email, phone, venue, delivery address, and order contents. Payment is by PromptPay / bank transfer; we do not store card numbers.
- Reseller applications — contact details and the areas you want to cover.
- Site operation — language preference stored on your device, a session for the shopping cart, and server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used to keep the site secure.
We do not use advertising pixels, analytics suites, or social trackers on this website. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How we use data
We use personal data to reply to you, prepare quotes, fulfil shop orders, support venues that buy VenueIQ, keep the site secure, and meet legal obligations (for example UK company, tax, and accounting records, and any Thai rules that apply to a local sale).
Under UK GDPR (and the equivalent PDPA grounds) we rely on: performing a contract or taking steps at your request (quotes, orders, support); legitimate interests in running, securing, and developing the business in a way that does not override your rights; legal obligation (records we must keep); and, where required, consent (for example optional marketing emails — we will ask first, and you can withdraw).
International transfers
We operate from the United Kingdom and deliver services in Thailand. Personal data may be processed in the UK, in Thailand, and in other countries used by our hosting and email providers.
Where UK GDPR restricts a transfer, we use appropriate safeguards such as contracts that require the recipient to protect the data. Where PDPA applies to a transfer out of Thailand, we use a lawful transfer method (for example a destination with adequate protection, or contractual safeguards).
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal data (including UK data portability where it applies), and you may object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where we rely on it. These rights can have legal limits (for example we must keep invoices).
We keep enquiry records and orders for as long as needed to complete the work and to meet UK (and, where applicable, Thai) record-keeping rules, then delete or anonymise them.
This site is not directed at children under 13. Please do not submit a child’s personal data to our forms.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. People in Thailand may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
